Latest Update: Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones 2020 Postponed

Fans were really excited when they learned that the legend Mike Tyson is going make a return to the ring this year. Everyone was expected to see a fight between Tyson and Evander Holyfield. But that didn’t happen. Instead of Evander Holyfield, organizers decided to make an exhibition match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones. So Tyson vs Jones Jr 2020 was going be held on September 12, 2020.

After getting sanctioned by the California Athletic Commission, organizers decided to change the date of the match from September 12, 2020 to November 28, 2020. A representative said that they needed more time to bring the broadcast to the international television and fix some issues of the pay-per-view.

54 year old Mike Tyson was the youngest fighter to win the world heavyweight championship. He won the title at age 20 by defeating Trevor Berbick with a KO. When he was retiring from boxing in 2005, he had a record of 50 wins and 6 losses.

51 year old Roy Jones Jr. is a very impressive fighter too. He won multiple world titles in four weight classes, including middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. He retired from professional boxing in 2018 with a record of 66 wins and 9 losses.

Tyson and Jones are two of the most talented and dominating fighters of their period. But they have never faced each other before. So even though this is an exhibition match this is going to be amazing. Probably this is not going to be Tyson’s last match but the result of the match would make a huge impact on Tyson’s future with the sport.
