01. Kirk Alyn
Atom Man vs Superman is the first superman movie ever created. The movie was produced by Sam Katzman in 1950. And actor Kirk Alyn got the chance to become the very first superman ever.
02. George Reeves
George Reeves is the second actor to play Superman. In 1951 Lippert Pictures produced a second Superman movie called Superman and the Mole Men. George Reeves was the actor who played as Superman.
03. David Wilson
In 1966 Charles Strouse composed ‘It’s a Bird.. It’s a Plane.. It’s Superman.’ a musical about Superman. Later in 1975 they converted the musical to a tv movie. David Wilson was the one to play Superman.
04. Christopher Reeve
Christopher Reeve is probably the most loved and famous Superman ever. He has played Superman in 6 movies. His role as superman began in 1978 with ‘Superman: The Movie’. After, he played as superman until he died in 2004. His last Superman movie was ‘Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut’ released in 2006.
05. John Newton
John Newton was the star of first non-animated Superman tv series called ‘Superboy.’ The series aired from 1988 to 1992. But after 26 episodes, in 1989 John Newton decide the leave the show.
06. Govinda
Govinda is an Indian film actor who played as Superman in an Indian movie called ‘Dariya Dil’ (River heart). The movie was released in 1988. Govinda is considered as the worst Superman in the history.
07. Gerard Christopher
After John Newton left Superboy tv series, Gerard Christopher became the new Superman in the series. He played superman from 1989 to 1992.
08. Charlie Sheen
In the movie Hot Shots, Charlie Sheen got the opportunity to play Superman. The movie was produced by Pat Proft and Bill Badalato in 1991.

Brandon Routh played Superman in the movie Superman Returns 2006. After, he appeared in few tv shows such as The Flash and Supergirl.
12. Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill’s first movie as Superman is Man of Steel in 2013. Then Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016, Justice League 2017 and Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2021. He is the current Superman and one of the most successful Supermen in the history.
13. Tyler Hoechlin
In 2015 Tyler Hoechlin appeared in ‘Supergirl‘ tv series as the superman. After that he played Superman in The Flash, Batwoman, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow. He is going to star his own tv series as Superman in 2021. The upcoming show is called ‘Superman and Lois’, currently in post-production. It’s only fair to name him the current tv Superman.
